Welcome to ZIK Homes. These Terms of Use & Service Agreement (“Agreement”) govern your use of our website and engagement with our design and remodeling services. By accessing our website or signing a remodeling estimate, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Use of Website
ZIK Homes provides tools, content, and resources related to real estate and home remodeling. All content is provided “as-is” without warranties. We are not responsible for actions taken based on our calculators, blog content, or estimates.
2. Contractor Registration
ZIK Homes LLC is a registered Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor.
PA HIC Registration #: PA 196460
3. Scope of Remodeling Services
By signing an estimate or proposal from ZIK Homes, you enter into a service agreement under the following terms:
- Entire Agreement: The signed estimate and these terms form the complete contract.
- Modifications: Must be in writing and signed by both parties.
- Scope: Services provided are as described in the estimate. Additional work requires written approval.
4. Payments
- Payment terms are specified in your estimate.
- Invoices are due upon receipt unless otherwise stated.
- Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly finance charge.
- Work may be paused after 7 days’ written notice for nonpayment.
5. Additional Services
Extra work beyond the original scope will be billed as Additional Services. Examples include:
- Plan revisions
- 3D renderings
- Coordination with external consultants
- Permit re-submissions or public hearing attendance
6. Owner Responsibilities
The Owner agrees to:
- Provide timely site access
- Designate a project representative
- Supply necessary approvals (e.g., HOA, surveys)
- Select materials in a timely manner
- Maintain active homeowner’s insurance
7. Scheduling & Delays
ZIK Homes is not responsible for delays caused by weather, permitting, material shortages, or Owner-caused delays. Projects delayed more than 60 days may be subject to re-pricing or termination.
8. Ownership of Design Materials
All plans, renderings, and designs are property of ZIK Homes.
You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use them only for your specific project.
Reuse or modification without written permission is strictly prohibited.
9. Photography & Publicity
ZIK Homes may photograph the project before, during, and after completion for marketing purposes. Identifying details will not be disclosed without consent.
10. Liability Limitations
ZIK Homes’ liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by the Owner under the agreement or $50,000, whichever is less.
We are not responsible for:
- Hidden or hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, mold, lead)
- Construction site safety when subcontractors are present
- Unforeseen or latent conditions requiring design or scope changes
11. Warranty
ZIK Homes warrants its workmanship for one (1) year from project completion.
Manufacturer warranties apply to materials.
This does not cover misuse, third-party alterations, or natural disasters.
12. Client Review Policy
If you are satisfied, you agree to post a 5-star Google review within 14 days of project completion.
If dissatisfied, you agree not to post a negative review (defined as 4 stars or fewer or any critical public comment) without first allowing ZIK Homes a chance to resolve the issue. You must contact us at:

We must be given up to 10 business days to respond and resolve the issue in good faith.
If a negative review is posted without this opportunity, you agree that such action causes significant harm to our reputation and agree to pay $15,000 in liquidated damages, without prejudice to other remedies.
13. Mechanic’s Lien Notice
In the event of nonpayment, ZIK Homes reserves the right to file a mechanic’s lien against the Owner’s property in accordance with Pennsylvania law.
14. Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel this agreement without penalty within three (3) business days after signing.

15. Force Majeure
ZIK Homes shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform caused by factors beyond our control, including weather events, labor disputes, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or acts of God.
16. Dispute Resolution
All disputes shall be resolved first through mediation. If unresolved, they will proceed to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in Allegheny County, PA.
17. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement with 7 days’ written notice for material breach.
If terminated, the Owner shall pay for all work completed and materials ordered up to that date.
18. Digital Communication Consent
By providing your phone number or email, you agree to be contacted by ZIK Homes LLC via call, email, and text regarding your project, including invoices, schedule updates, marketing offers & promotions and legal notices. To opt-out, you can reply ‘stop’ at any time or click the unsubscribe link in the emails. Message and data rates may apply. Messages frequency varies.
19. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the effective date.
